Currently it seems like we’d start hitting sepolia state being too big to run cheaply issues around mid next year. We would want to launch a PoW network that goes through all the phases with a few days/weeks (depending on phase) at a time and then eventually ends up at the latest fork by Q1 2027? Once we’re at the latest fork, we can distribute the keys to the small set of signers. It’ll mimic sepolia, so not everyone can stake. That way we’d end up with a network thats very similar to mainnet and small to sync up to.
We can deprecate Sepolia after launch and sunset it fully in Q2/Q3 2027 (Giving everyone about half a year to deploy and update to the new network). We’re open to suggestions and pushbacks on the plan!
