Hello Ethereum Community,
I want to propose an idea for a unified smart wallet protocol aimed at improving user experience and reducing transaction complexities.
Overview
The core concept is a platform/protocol that aggregates multiple wallets, activities, and balances into a single, intuitive interface.
Key Features
* Multi-Wallet Aggregation: View and manage all your assets and transaction histories across different wallets in one place.
* Flexible Gas Payments: Utilize Paymaster mechanisms to allow users to pay gas fees using any ERC-20 token available in their wallet (e.g., USDT, USDC), eliminating the strict requirement to hold ETH for gas.
* Gas Reduction: Leverage transaction batching and optimizations to minimize overall gas costs.
I would love to gather feedback from the community on this concept before moving forward with a formal EIP draft.
Thank you!
Most of this already works without a new EIP, so it may be worth building it as a product on existing standards first. ERC-20 gas is ERC-4337 with a token paymaster (or EIP-7702 for plain EOAs), and batching calls from one account is EIP-5792 wallet_sendCalls. Aggregating several wallets into one view is mostly an indexing and UX problem.
On the security side, the token paymaster is where I’d spend the time. It prices gas in USDC or USDT from an oracle, so a stale or manipulable price lets users underpay and drains the paymaster’s deposit. And if it charges in postOp, the user can move the token or revoke the allowance inside the same UserOperation, so the charge fails and the paymaster pays anyway. Taking the payment up front in validation, or capping exposure per op, avoids most of that.
Which part do you see as needing a standard, the aggregated view or something on chain?
