To make adoption concrete, we’ve open-sourced a reference implementation alongside the ERC. It includes:
- Append-only projection engine for the register-confirmed holder record
- Proof-profile verification + atomic admission
- Temporal query APIs —
holderAsOf,isFinalAsOf,openGapOf,entryAt, etc. - JavaScript & Python SDKs
- Shared conformance suite —
npm run verifyruns 151 tests (incl. 20 mandatory conformance tests), no runtime dependencies
What this means (and doesn’t mean)
- The spec still defines conformance — the Kit is one implementation, not the reference. Independent implementations are welcome and interoperable via the conformance tests.
- Adopting ERC-8415 does not require this software or any of our services.
- Status: this is reference infrastructure for development and integration testing. Per the repo’s
Current Status, the full Stage 0–7 delivery gate is not complete — Stage 3 has interfaces, ABI checks and an RPC adapter (tested against a fake node), but no deployed projection/settlement contracts, tx submission, or event verification yet. Production deployment is separate work.
The core distinction is preserved exactly: ownerOf (tradeable position) ≠ register-confirmed holder. Historical resolution, projection finality, and open gaps remain separate questions — the Kit records what happened, it does not adjudicate legal title or prescribe remedies.
Call for review
We’d especially value input on:
- Developer interfaces — ergonomics of the SDKs and query APIs
- Cross-implementation conformance — if you’re building an independent implementation, let’s compare against the shared test suite
Feedback, issues, and PRs welcome on the repo. Happy to discuss here as well.
