application/octet-stream is an extremely general media type. We don’t use text/plain for JSON, and I don’t think we should use octet-stream for SSZ.

we do already in the beacon API it is actually a standard for Ethereum already

Then that’s a mistake in the beacon API and it should be fixed too :upside_down_face:
