@yperbasis Let’s keep it in a separate thread but make sure that the two works complement each other. For example, we may not want to have reqId solely live on the new sync message instead of all ETH messages. We have to figure out what makes sense there.

I personally don’t think it matter if all the cool stuff you’ve been discussing above comes in eth65 instead. Anyone disagree? We would like to move forward with @karalabe’s forkid idea
