Picking up the point raised here in March about Auction mode having no bid commitment or reveal structure at the interface level. Rather than ask ERC-8195 to carry it, I have drafted a companion that does only that part: commit–reveal, a stateless award(bids, reserve, units) mechanism, and first-price / Vickrey / uniform-price as normative rules. One question specific to 8195: since submitBid is relayed by a forwarder, would the forwarder be the one calling commitBid and revealBid on the bidder’s behalf, or should the companion assume bidders hold keys?
