Having integrated ERC-7930 into ERC-8092, I’m confused about the motivation for interoperable names.
IMO, the value of ERC-7930 is the binary representation of addresses. Cross-chain/architecture specifications need a standard for encoding these addresses and this specification solves this problem.
In the future I am excited about, humans don’t read addresses. Everything is named/aliased such that addresses are “invisible” substrate like IP addresses are in the modern web. As such, I find it confusing that this specification also specifies a naming standard.
