yeah, i thought about this earlier too. the data could persist, but it would only be on one node, so what would it really matter?

Oh yeah, so another update, I wrote out a simple implementation for Geth based on Antoine’s POC since I don’t know shit about Java. I’m going to write out a simulation in Go to demonstrate.
